Joyce Newport 20th June 2020

I have know Will since Jonathan and Catharine started courting. We shared the joy and pleasure in their marriage and the happy birth of our three mutual grandchildren; Joshua, Molly and Rosie. I watched with affection and admiration as Will shared his passion and enthusiasm for music, old films, WW2, baking and gardening. This enhanced and enriched the grandchildren's lives for the present and the future. He also gave them in insight into social history of when he was a young man in the RAF. Josh, Molly and Rosie became a large and vital part of Will's life. The love, the time and the affection they gave Will was wonderful. Will and I shared many happy and laughter filled meals with the family and numerous and hilarious Christmases which wouldn't have been complete without one of Will's very special Christmas quizzes! I also enjoyed the concerts Will organised at the Royal Albert Hall and various places of beauty and interest where Will always had knowledgable quotes. Thank you Will for your company and friendship for all those years. I will miss you but am glad you are at peace. Joyce Newport
