Will was a very nice chap. On the way to church he would talk about his time in Hounslow when he biked to work blindly through thick smog, then damaged his back by heavy lifting 2cwt bags of flour; and his days in the RAF in Germany; then his work at ICI where he inhaled phosphoric acid fumes (for cleaning rusty car panels) which damaged his lungs; and spilling white paint over the floor at the end of the production line. He kindly organised trips to the Royal Albert Hall which we all enjoyed.
